Running Affair's 5 Registration Products and Options

Running Affair's on-line sales and registration features are easy to use resources to sell your events and associated branded merchandise and to register participants.

Running Affair has five categories of registration products:
  • Simple Events, such as a seminar.
  • Recurring Events, such as a regularly scheduled tour.
  • Races, including triathlons.
  • Training Programs, such as for half marathon training.
  • Activity Programs, such as an educational series.

You have the flexibility to sell your event and other merchandise at the same time as registering, or to simply register a participant without requiring a sale. The optional Group Check-in is quick and easy to use for your activities that need a check-in. If your event or race supports a charitable entity, you can also take in an additional donation as part of the registration process.
Simple Events

A simple event is a product that requires a registration as part of the purchase. These are presumed to be single activities, such as a seminar. The primary purpose, beyond the sale, is the registration of the participant, including contact information, and options, like agreeing to the waiver.
Recurring Scheduled Events

A recurring event is an event that repeats on a pre-defined schedule, such as a tour that happens every Saturday at 9:00 am, or on the first Saturday of each month. You can associate multiple schedules with your Recurring Event. For example, you can have an event scheduled every Saturday at 8am and at 3pm. Recurring events dramatically reduce the time to manually create a series of Simple Events for these scheduled dates and times.

These scheduled events are presented to your customers on a calendar that can be accessed via a link on your web site or embedded in an html frame that is displayed when your web page is loaded and displayed. When the participant selects the date for participation from the calendar they are then presented purchase and registration forms to complete the registration and sale. The consumer can move between calendar dates to find the preferred day and time for participation. A "Sold Out" is displayed when an event has reached a present sales maximum.
Races and Triathlons

Sales and registrations for race related products have all of the signup features commonly available plus additional unique feature benefits. You can sell multiple races for multiple participants on a single transaction. For example you can simultaneously sell a 5K and a 10K race with multiple registrations, such as registering a family of four with three 5K participants and a single 10K participant. In addition to selling the race, you can also sell on the same transaction event branded apparel, and additional merchandise products.

You can create product passports to sell a fixed number of events, such as a race series, and allow event choices, such as selecting differing race distances among the passport race options. And, you can create a registration group (e.g. a family pack) to sell a fixed number of your race entries under a single price.

Running Affair's Race Management feature supports race sales and registration with features such as automatic bib assignment and data exporting to a race timing system.
Training Programs

Sales and registrations for your training program products gain the benefit of optionally using Running Affair's Training Program Manager, including fitness activity management and journaling. With our training program features you can create training schedules, support training teams, and access training reporting facilities for group and individual performance tracking.
Activity Programs

Sales and registrations for your activity program products, such as a weight management program or an educational series, are similar to the training program management, such as creating event schedules and events reporting.
